In daily life, we have all encountered the phenomenon of deformation when using ton barrels. It is generally believed that a ton barrel has good sealing, especially when it contains hot goods. After tightly rotating the barrel lid, it becomes airtight. Therefore, due to the decrease in pressure inside the barrel and the excessive external pressure, the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the barrel causes deformation. This seems to be the truth, but in fact, it is a conceptual error. It is explicitly stipulated during the production of ton barrels that they must be sealed and airtight.
The reason is that the machines used in the manufacturing of ton barrels in China are relatively backward, with fewer control points for wall thickness, resulting in uneven barrel body. The standards for ton barrels are also relatively loose and not rigorous. For example, the wall thickness of two relatively symmetrical points is allowed within the range of 2:1. Generally, if the wall thickness of the ton barrels produced becomes uneven, it will also be judged as qualified. It appears to be intact, but in actual use, deformation occurs due to significant differences in the thickness of the barrel walls. Plastic machinery manufacturing enterprises have attached great importance to this and strictly control the quality. The manufacturer of ton barrels has also made improvements to the mold equipment.
